ICOEAD

The International Conference on Election and Democracy in Indonesia is one of the topical events held by the Department of Politics, the University of Airlangga that coincides with the commemoration of its 50th anniversary. Our event is divided into two thematic activities:
1. Call for Paper: an opportunity that calls academics, researchers and scholars to submit their papers on a wide variety of sub-topic derived from the main theme of Election and Democracy.
2. Seminar: an arranged series of talks delivered by our keynote speakers who are the distinguished scholars in the field of election, political party, and democracy.

This conference is aimed at convening the academics, researchers and policymakers to discuss their studies and experiences in order to better understand the dynamics so far in the realm of election and democracy.
Apart from that, this conference is expected to be a forum for academics to learn from the peers, formulate the best practices in the electoral system, exchange election-related knowledge and democracy, gather numerous insights generated from the research, and advance the narrative of how the electoral system shapes democratic practices.
